Adopt A Bird
Ask The Curator
Have a favourite bird here at Bird Kingdom? Want to keep him happy, well fed and help protect their species in the wild? By adopting a bird, you can help support conservation efforts in your birds native land where human encroachment, illegal pet trade and other factors are negatively affecting the birds natural environment. Your help can also assist us in bring new species to Bird Kingdom for all to enjoy.

Have your school class adopt a bird instead of having a classroom pet. This valuable teaching tool increases environmental and conservation awareness and also educates your class on what animals are appropriate as pets and what animals are best in the wild. Plus there's no feeding or nasty cage cleaning involved!

Do you think reptiles or bats are more interesting in birds? Bird Kingdom, has lots of fascinating creatures that can all use your help! Call us to inquire what animals are available.

Your adoption includes:
  • A full colour, glossy picture of your bird/animal and biographical information on your animal
  • Your name/classroom listed on the Bird Kingdom website as a donor for 1 year
  • A full written report on what challenges your birds natural habitat is facing
  • Quarterly updates (or more often if there are interesting developments) on your bird including breeding, behavioural changes ect
  • 20% off all gift shop purchases (certain exclusions apply)
  • Discount on all Bird Kingdom special events & programs
  • A portion of all adopt a bird proceeds will go towards fieldwork or conservation efforts. Details of these organizations and their efforts will be provided in your quarterly updates
Adopt a Bird Sponsorship (1 year) $55.00

*Please note that your sponsorship is not exclusive. Many people may be interested in sponsoring the same bird.
